Backed by over 60 years of experience, Linde Engineering has designed and supplied systems for all major industrial sectors as well as highly sensitive military applications. We apply the most efficient technology to each application. All of our systems are based on the high mixing performance generated by a high-swirl burner. The high turbulence in the swirling burner gases brings the combustible waste constituents in contact with the required combustion air, thus ensuring complete combustion.
We have incorporated steam heat recovery into many systems. Processes that recover by-products such as concentrated acids and metallic catalyst are also routinely incorporated into systems to further reduce plant costs. These custom-engineered systems provide the high combustion efficiencies required to meet today's stringent emission requirements and to recover waste heat and/or valuable by-products, where desired.
We use simple up-fired designs if waste constituents are basically organic compounds. If halogens, sulfur and phosphorous are present, we incorporate scrubbers or other mist removal systems. We add particulate removal devices for waste that contains metals.
We developed submerged combustion (Sub-X®) technology for waste disposal. This process ensures safe, reliable and rapid quenching of flue gases to minimise dioxin formation when halogenated compounds are present.
Typical waste streams treated include halogenated hydrocarbons, organic and inorganic compounds, complex waste streams, PCBs and di-isocyantes.
